Workforce Planning Guide
Transforming a Static Report into a Scalable Thought Leadership Experience
Overview
The Workforce Planning Guide is Addison Group’s largest annual marketing asset, designed to deliver industry insights, salary data, and hiring trends across multiple verticals.
Over a three-year period, I led the evolution of the guide from a dense, static document into a structured, interactive, and highly usable digital experience that better supports both marketing and sales teams.
The Challenge
The original guide was a 100+ page static PDF, difficult to navigate and overwhelming for readers
Content lacked clear hierarchy, making it hard to quickly extract insights
Large file size made it inefficient to share with clients
Limited usability for recruiters and sales teams in real conversations
No consistent system for structuring content across verticals
The Approach
I approached the guide not just as a design project, but as a content system and user experience challenge.
Key focus areas:
Simplify navigation to allow readers to move seamlessly between sections
Introduce structure and hierarchy to improve readability and engagement
Design for real-world use, especially for sales and recruiting teams
Evolve the asset year-over-year, treating it as a product rather than a one-time deliverable

Designed layouts that guide the reader from insight → detail → action

Elevated overall design quality with more polished, modern graphics
Refined typography and spacing for easier reading
